Cohen's d for independent-samples t test with equal variances assumed

Cohen's d is an effect size statistic for t-tests. This version is for an independent-samples t test when equal variances are assumed. This is sometimes called Student's t-test or the classic t test.

This version of the Cohen's effect size statistic uses pooled standard deviation in the denominator. Equal variances are assumed.
